About John McIlwee
John McIlwee is an entertainment-industry business manager at McIlwee & Assoc. His representative role centers on the business and financial side of a client’s professional life, rather than talent casting or creative development. Entertainment business management generally involves coordinating financial administration and working with clients’ other professional advisers, distinct from an agent’s role in securing engagements or an attorney’s role in providing legal counsel.
Beyond his business-management work, McIlwee is publicly known for his involvement in architectural preservation, including the restoration of John Lautner’s Garcia House with Bill Damaschke. That work forms a documented part of his public profile, but does not establish a particular client-management philosophy or professional reputation.
